Mvskoke Media aims to be the voice of the Mvskoke people by distributing information to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation through its newspaper, radio show, and TV broadcasts as well as graphic design and printing services.

Our Divisions


The Mvskoke News is the newspaper of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. MN has been informing citizens since 1970. Mvskoke News is a bi-weekly publication, published on the 1st and 15th of every month.

Any enrolled citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation can receive a newspaper subscription free of charge.


Mvskoke Vision is a weekly TV broadcast covering issues concerning Indian Country. MV airs in the Tulsa area on Saturdays at 1 p.m. on CW19. Episodes are also available on the Mvskoke Vision YouTube page.


Mvskoke Radio is an hour long weekly radio broadcast covering an array of topics.

Mvskoke Creative accepts work from both inside and outside Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Available products range from the design and printing of business cards to banners.

Rita has been with Muscogee (Creek) Nation since 2012 when she started teaching as a full-time instructor with the College of  the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. However, when the opportunity presented itself for her to move back towards her passion of journalism and communications, she jumped!  Rita is Muscogee (Creek) and Fort Mojave Indian Tribe.

Darren has been with Mvskoke Media since 2009. He has always (and still does) played sports so he wanted to write about it. What started with sports, turned into features, columns, articles, whatever he can find around the MCN. He enjoys trying new things, which helped him become an avid dancer of bachata. Darren has one daughter, Syeann.

Kevin was raised in the Weleetka/Wetumka area and now lives in Tulsa with his wife and three daughters. He holds a bachelor’s degree in cinema, television and digital media from Oral Roberts University. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading and watching documentary films.

Angel is a Muscogee (Creek) Citizen and native Oklahoman.  She has worked in newspaper close to a decade in nearly every capacity from reporting to press prep. In her spare time she enjoys music of all sorts, travel, creative writing, and kayaking.

Jerrad is a Muscogee (Creek) citizen and has a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma in photography/media.  His tribal town is Kvsehtv and he is of the Nokosvlke Clan.

An enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and of Cherokee heritage, Gary D. Fife is a career veteran of journalism, with nearly 40 years of experience in print, radio and television specializing in Native American affairs. He and his wife co-habit their home with a Scottish terrier named Willow.

Jennifer has been employed with Mvskoke Media since July 2000. She has worked for Mvskoke Media her whole time with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and is now the current printing supervisor for Mvskoke Creative. Jennifer is a full blood, enrolled Mvskoke (Creek) from the Tukvpvtce Tribal Town and of the Tiger Clan. Her parents are Kenneth and Darlene (Frank) Taryole and she has one twin sister, Valerie.

Jamie has been a printing tech for Mvskoke Media for  two years.  She has two children, Jayleigh Fus-Holvtoce and Roxie Nokus-Efeke. She is an active member of Kellyville (PoleCat) Ceremonial Ground and a member of Native American Church, Yuchi Chapter.

An artist and designer from Glenpool, Oklahoma, Mark is a 2011 graduate from the University of Tulsa earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in graphic design. Mark has worked for and has been the lead graphic designer for Mvskoke Media since 2013. He is yUdjEha (Yuchi), Mvskoke (Muscogee Creek), and Tsalagi (Cherokee) and is an active member of Duck Creek Ceremonial Grounds.

Daniel graduated from the College of the Muscogee Nation with an associates degree in Native American studies and a certificate in the Mvskoke language in 2011. He later attended Northeastern State University for graphic design. Daniel is Muscogee (Creek), Aleut and Choctaw and he is active at the ceremonial grounds and at powwows.

Lindsey graduated from Northeastern State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication and a minor in graphic design. She is a citizen of the ᏣᎳᎩ (Cherokee) Nation. Lindsey enjoys attending concerts, spending time with family/church family, and playing D&D with her friends.

Breanna Dawson grew up in Jay, Oklahoma. After graduating high school she went to NEO to obtain her associates degree in agribusiness and agricultural economics and later obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from OSU in agricultural communications. In her free time she loves spending time at the farm with her husband, family and two dogs, Gundy and Boone.

Joshua is a Cherokee boy from down at Ryal. He graduated OSU-IT with an associates degree in computer security, and a bachelor’s degree in information assurance and forensics. He grew up close to the Hickory Ground Ceremonial Ground and as such feels strongly about the desecration of the pre-removal Hickory Ground site in Alabama.
